About Davis Event Space

Davis Event Space is where history and elegance converge to create the perfect setting for your special events. Nestled in the heart of the Historic Harrisonville Square, our venue exudes a unique charm that captivates all who visit.

A Quick Look at Our History

Located on the Historic Harrisonville Square, the Davis Brothers Garage was built in 1915. The building was renovated by the Freelands and the Becks in 2016 to become Beck Event Space, in Harrisonville, Missouri.


Beck Event Space officially opened its doors to Cass County and the Kansas City Metro in 2017 after a near 2 year renovation. At the end of 2023 the Becks retired from the business. The Freelands decided with the ownership change, a name change would be a great way to start the next chapter. Embracing the historic roots of the building, Jill & Mike Freeland decided on Davis Event Space. The building is on the National Historic Registry under the Davis Brothers Garage and Jill & Mike thought naming it Davis Event Space would be a good way to honor the history of the building and the Historic Square District.

Meet Jill, Our Owner!

Hi I’m Jill the owner of Davis Event Space! I have been invested in the event space since day one and has been a part the 300+ weddings/events at our space.


A little about me, I grew up in San Jose California and moved to Missouri with my parents after high school. I am a beach lover. Almost all our family vacations involve going to the beach. I have created a seashell garden in the front yard of our home in Independence from seashells we have collected on our vacations.


I love taking spin and Turbo Kick classes. I have also rediscovered my love of swimming, thanks to my daughter. I also love reading (I listen to a lot of audiobooks while cleaning and prepping the Davis for events). My husband and I have 3 kids and 4 cats (yes, we are those crazy cat people). My daughter is my concert buddy. She is always down to see some of my favorite bands and do some traveling when needed. Pitbull is one of our favorite artists to see in concert. #Dale


I enjoy meeting, listening to, and helping couples plan their special day. I am self driven and love the work it takes to be organized and prepared for events, and yet I also love to be spontaneous (so I can work well on the fly at events with whatever gets thrown my way!)


I love being in the service industry and love owning my own venue in Harrisonville, Missouri!
